Jennifer McGarry is a dedicated primary school teacher with a unique background. After graduating with a BA in Economics, Finance and German from Maynooth University in 2007, she initially worked in private industry. However, she made the move to primary teaching and completed her Masters in Primary Education with Marino Institute of Education in 2017. During her time here, Jennifer discovered the STEM framework of education which she has passionately pursued ever since. Now, with further studies completed in the areas of computer science and digital learning, Jennifer is leading the development of a Creative Technologies Programme at Alexandra College Junior School, an all-girls primary school based in Milltown, Co. Dublin. This exciting programme is for all classes, from Junior Infants right up to 6th class and aims to help build interest, confidence and competence in the STEM subjects among students and teachers.
