With a lot of us living longer and looking for ways to stay fit, healthy and on top of our game singing is a fantastic way to improve your physical & mental health, sharpen your thinking and protect your memory in a simple, engaging and joyful way.
There are no soloists in CÓRus just choirs of people, learning to use their natural voices to sing in perfect harmony. Our weekly singing classes are for ordinary people with ordinary voices who come together to make an extraordinary sound, forge friendships, have fun, feel good and give back.
We are vocal communicators – we use singing as vocal therapy to connect with others and lift our hearts, spirits and mind. CÓRus truly believes everyone should just sing for the pure joy of it!
Musical director and conductor Mary Lowe has over 40 years’ experience in media as a presenter and music as a professional singer. She arranges all the harmonies in the CÓRus term songs and along with founding co-director Yvonne McDonald has devised a unique teaching methodology which they use to teach hundreds of men and women each week how to sing with joy and harmony.
