Quarantine by Eavan Boland
Luke Power is a 15 year old, 3 rd year student in Ramsgrange Community School, Co. Wexford. He has a strong passion for language, performance and creative expression. He was proudly named overall winner of Poetry Aloud 2025, a competition celebrating the art of poetry performance and interpretation.
Luke has a deep love for English literature, enjoying both classic and contemporary works. He is particularly drawn to the power of poetry, with Patrick Kavanagh and Philip Larkin being among his favourite poets.
Luke is a member of Barecheek Drama group in Wexford where he has performed in a number of plays in the Wexford Art Centre.
Music is another of his great passions and he plays the guitar, piano and the dulcimer, so far!
Through his achievements and interests, Luke continues to cultivate his creativity and confidence. At the Women in STEM Summit he will recite Quarantine by Eavan Boland.
