John Ruane is Ireland Site Lead & Vice President of Operations and Services Group at Fidelity Investments. He leads Fidelity Ireland’s Operations, Services and Capital Markets teams, with a strong focus on flawless execution and operational excellence. As Site Lead, John drives initiatives that enhance the employee experience, promote career vitality, and foster an inclusive, connected workplace culture.
Since joining Fidelity in 2009, John has held senior leadership roles across Finance and Operations. He established the International Finance Group, supporting Fidelity’s businesses in Japan, Hong Kong, the UK, and Europe, and later served as Head of Finance for Fidelity Ireland. More recently, he has played a key role in expanding the Operations & Services Group in Dublin.
John was appointed Regional Leader for Fidelity Ireland in 2022 and became Ireland Site Lead in 2025.
Prior to Fidelity, John worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Manager in the Investment Management Group. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University.
