Graham Abell

Graham Abell, VP, Software Engineering and Site Lead, Workday Ireland, Graham has 20 years’ experience with technology innovators and is currently VP, software engineering at Workday and site lead for Workday in Ireland. A fascination with creativity led him from Lego to building his own computer machines as a teenager, prompting a career in technology. Graham attended Trinity College Dublin to study Information & Communication Technologies, graduating in 2003. He subsequently developed his career with innovative organisations both local and global, from GE Energy and AIG to Fenergo and Paddy Power (Flutter). Since joining Workday in 2016, Graham has managed and now leads diverse teams across multiple geographies. Currently as vice president, customer success platform, Graham leads a team of over 150 talented people located globally. Graham was appointed Site Lead for the Irish operations in 2022; an ambassador and advocate responsible for the growth and success of the 1,800-strong campus at Workday’s European headquarters in Smithfield, Dublin 7 and Dockline Building, Dublin 1. Outside of his day job, Graham is a fanatical foodie and sourdough creator, who spends time experimenting with his 3D printer and enjoys cooking for friends and family. He lives in Rathgar in Dublin with his wife Elaine and his young son and daughter.
